Richard and Rebecca Maisenbacher are founders of The Covenant Center. They have served as elders and board members of various churches and ministries, as well as facilitated numerous home groups and classes. Over thirty-five years ago, Richard and Rebecca received through a vision and numerous dreams, as well as prophetic utterance, a direction and mandate to train and equip His Body. Since that time they have locally instructed and equipped as well as licensed/ordained hundreds of men and women who now serve throughout the nations.
The Maisenbachers are dedicated to bringing freedom and wholeness to the wounded and captive through healing, restoration and reconciliation. They desire to see each person trained, equipped and activated to serve in the Kingdom as they fulfill their destiny. They believe it is important for each person to understand their spiritual identity and to recognize and release the spiritual gifts given to them to walk out their covenant with Christ. Richard and Rebecca encourage and support individuals to grow in wisdom, maturity, holiness, character, the prophetic and Hebraic foundations. They are committed to seeing the Creative Arts returned to the Body, God’s love and glory revealed through each believer upon the earth, and His church unified.

Beliefs
We believe that the entire Body of Christ is commissioned to go into the world and make disciples. Our vision is to see the Body of Christ strengthened, equipped, restored through healing, and to become expressions of worship through the creative arts. The CovenantU mission is to train believers to minister in their gifts and callings in the community, marketplace, and throughout the world, sharing the love of Christ.
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
We believe there is one eternal God, manifest to man as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is God and came to earth as man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
We believe Jesus Christ was crucified, was dead, buried and arose from the dead ascending into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God.
We believe the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify Christ, empower the believer and to convict men of sin.
We believe Jesus Christ will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
We believe His kingdom will have no end.
We believe there is the experience of the baptism in the Holy Spirit evident in the believer’s life through various gifts.

Mission
The mission of CovenantU is to help students identify, define, and strengthen their God-given calling and ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit in the integrity of God’s Word by providing a challenging environment in which scriptural prophetic training is based on the foundation of Hebraic thought and the original teachings of Jesus and Paul.
Licensing and Ordination
Students may take any CovenantU course in any order unless they are interested in licensing. The prerequisites for licensing are completing Spiritual Roots and Hebraic Thought tracks, KG 101 and SL 101, filing an application including appropriate references and completing an interview. After licensing, if the student is interested in ordination at a later date, they may complete the Knowing God and Spiritual Leadership tracks.
Hebraic Thought
To have an understanding of the Bible it is important to recognize that it was written by authors who had an Eastern or Hebraic mindset rather than a Western or Greek belief system. The culture, language, words, beliefs in the Torah were written for those individuals who understood the Hebraic and covenant concepts that are foreign to our U.S. western society. This track will enable the student to understand the Bible from a Hebraic perspective, which will bring a fresh revelation to the Word of God.
Spiritual Roots
This track was originally written for those students desiring to minister through pastoral counseling; however, God seemed to focus on each student’s inner healing, repentance, deliverance and own spiritual roots that needed to be addressed. Personal and spiritual wounds unaddressed can affect the ministry as well as decision making. After taking these courses, the student will be better able to help others in their transformation/healing process and also have greater understanding of the times and seasons of God.
Knowing God
It is so important in ministry to be able to recognize how God speaks to us, so we may better understand His ways, helping us to fully communicate in love His thoughts and heart to others. This track looks at the gifts of the Spirit and prophetic understanding from a Hebraic perspective so that the student can personally hear from God and effectively share what they are sensing for others from the Spirit.
Spiritual Leadership
The courses in Spiritual Leadership are designed to bring a practical application to ministry to others. Understanding the functioning in the 5-fold ministry, healing and deliverance, counseling, evangelism, applying conflict resolution when necessary, living covenant love, mentoring, exploring ministries inside and outside the church, and how to walk out the vision that God has given you.
